Past action=past tense

Simplest form of the verb

EX:

PLAY

Singular((I,You)play(He,She,It)plays)

Simple Present(一般现在时):

  1. repeated action, habit or hobby(重复的行动,如习惯或业余爱好)
  2. facts or generalizations(事实或概括)
  3. events scheduled in the near future(在不久的将来发生的事件)例:The train leaves at 6:30 this evening.
  4. some actions happening now(现在正在发生的一些行动)

Singular=1   Plural=1<

第一人称:I/WE

第二人称:You

第三人称:she/he/it

单三(单数第三人称)+be动词(am/is/are)

Positive:The puppies  have a home

        (subject) (verb)

------------------------------------------

Negative:The puppies do not have a         home       don't(contraction)

(subject)  (heiping verb)  (main verb)

------------------------------------------

Positive:subject+verb

Negative:subject+heiping verb+main verb

Question:heiping verb+subject+main verb

setence:The student talks.So the verb is "talks".And we can also know when the action happens ,the verb"talks" is present trense.A verb indicates number.The noun is "student"(singular)so the verb will +s(talk+s+talks).

If we change the sentense to :The students talk.The noun "students"is plural.So we don't need to +s.

This is called Subject-verb agreement:the verb should agree in number with the subject.
